Graduate Student, Sonic Art Research Unit
Thesis Title: The Perceptual Interaction of Objects and Sounds
About
I am an artist working with sound, three dimensional form and technology. I have previously been a professional musician, electronics engineer, and worked in robot design and evolutionary computing.
My solo work is concerned with the relationship between sound, space and the imaginary. I am interested in the presentation of sound as a medium, its relationship to physical and non-physical objects, and its power to engage us in an emotional way through memory or by evocation.
I teach at the University of Brighton on the Media and Digital Arts MA, and am currently undertaking PhD research with the Sonic Art Research Unit at Oxford Brookes University.
